Areas of Specialty

Cardiovascular health
Dr. Maltman treats patients with metabolic syndrome and coronary artery disease using an integrative medicine approach supported by the most current scientific evidence available.

Chronic pain
Dr. Maltman is a chronic pain specialist approved by the Saskatchewan Medical Association. Common illnesses treated include osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and fibromyalgia.

Endocrine dysfunction
Dr. Maltman works with patients to help improve the function of their hormone systems and commonly treats patients with hypothyroidism and type-2 diabetes.

Gastrointestinal distress
Dr. Maltman teaches patients how to use food as medicine to decrease stress on their gastrointestinal system and optimize the health of their gut microbiome. Common illnesses that can be treated through dietary improvements include IBS, IBD, and chronic abdominal pain.

Lifestyle counselling
Dr. Maltman provides counselling on medicinal movement and exercise, mind–body–stress-reduction techniques, and nutrition.

Men’s health
Dr. Maltman believes in creating personalized plans for healthy aging. Common conditions treated include psychogenic erectile dysfunction and prostate disease.

Mental health
Having completed extra training in CBT and motivational interviewing techniques for depression, anxiety, insomnia, and substance abuse disorders, Dr. Maltman takes a multifactorial approach to find the root cause of these issues.

Neurological health
Understanding that chronic inflammation is often the root cause of neurological health issues, Dr. Maltman works with patients to decrease inflammation via health and lifestyle improvements. Common conditions that can be treated include chronic fatigue, chronic migraines, and cognitive impairment.
