Mind-Body Stress Reduction Course (8 weeks starting March 1)

Each session will begin at 6:30 p.m. and finish at 7:30 p.m. The sessions are all located at #109 – 294 Venture Crescent, Saskatoon. Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in. Someone will be at the front door to great you.

This course is designed to meet you wherever you are at, from no experience with MBSR to well-experienced practitioners. In each session, we’ll discuss the science behind the techniques and a brief review of the evidence, and we will focus the most on the practice of these techniques. The goal is that, by the end of the 8 weeks, you will have the opportunity to create a personal practice with new tools to help you regulate your nervous system in a way that will improve your physical, mental, and spiritual (however you define this) health.

Please wear comfortable clothing for the sessions. If you would like to take notes, pen and paper will be provided, and we ask that you please avoid having laptops or cell phones out during the sessions, which can be distracting.

Week 2 – Mindful movement – Walking meditation and yoga. 

March 15, 2023
Week 3 – Mindfulness, mindful eating, and the body scan.

 March 22, 2023
Week 4 – Positive psychology and positive neuroplasticity.

March 29, 2023
Week 5 – The Biologic Underpinnings of MBM, Biofeedback with Autogenic Training, and Lovingkindness Meditation

April 5, 2023
Week 6 – Sound Therapy – Sound bath

April 12, 2023

April 19, 2023
Week 7 – Guided imagery and visualization.

April 26, 2023
Week 8 – Putting it all together, drawings, ritual, and closing ceremony.
